AUGUST 24, 1993 SUBJECT: SOLEDAD BRIDGE BIKEWAY y fRick Putnam DEPARTMENT: PARKS, RECREATION, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES BACKGROUND The City of Santa Clarita submitted a grant application for the Soledad Bridge Bikeway Project to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) for consideration in the 1993-1995 call for projects. On June 30, 1993, the MTA Board of Directors approved the City's application. A Proposition C grant in the amount of $607,600 was awarded to the City of Santa Clarita to fund the bikeway ramps beneath the bridge and to provide a separated bike path on the Soledad bridge.
