Nisichi CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: January12, 1993 SUBJECT: WHITES CANYON ROAD TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPGRADES - PROJECT NO. 91-12 PROJECT ACCEPTANCE DEPARTMENT: Community Development BACKGROUND On February 25, 1992, Council awarded a contract for the subject project to Paul Gardner Corporation. This project was completed to the satisfaction of the Director of Community Development on November 20, 1992 for a total construction cost of $157,318. This project was completed approximately 14 weeks behind schedule due to utility delay caused by Southern California Edison's need to raise conflicting power lines. However, the total cost was approximately $20,000 under budget. RECOMMENDATION 1. That Council accept the work performed by Paul Gardner Corporation. 2. That Council direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion,for the project. 3. That staff be directed to release the ten percent retention 35 days after the Notice of Completion Is recorded, provided no stop notices as provided by law have been filed.
