HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-03-31 - AGENDAS - STUDY SESSION (2)• Study Session , March 31, 1993 Call to order: 7:08 p.m. Roll Call: Darcy, Pederson, Heidt (all,present) Councilmember Boyer arrived at 7:14 p.m. Councilmember Klajic - excused Also present: George Caravalho, Rufus Young 11 - George C. presented slides of each of the 24 action items identified as priority by the participants in the Community Strategic Planning process and discussed each item as follows: 11 No discussion. 12 No discussion. 13 Pederson requested they be updated as access road change is in progress and be notified regarding budget proposal changes. 14 Boyer commented that the revenue picture changes rapidly. 15 No discussion. 16 Pederson commented that someone could make a fortune building a conference center and maybe it should be modified for, this, and forget about the hotel idea, just have a conference center. 17 No discussion. fS No discussion. 19 Darcy commented that legislature in Sacramento states that cities cannot buy mobilehome parks for affordable housing. Boyer requested specifics of rehabilitation loan. and first time buyers program in target area of Newhall. It is now time to review the progress to date on the 24 action items identified as priority by the group.. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive staff report and discuss ITEM 2 PARES & RECREATION MASTER PLAN - This item is on the agenda to review and discuss the proposed Parks & Recreation Master Plan including the process and major elements for consideration.
