SUBJECT: COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 92-1 OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
(VALENCIA TOWN CENTER)
Resolution No. CFD 94-1-1
DEPARTMENT: Finance
BACKGROUND
On August 25, 1992, the Santa Clarita City Council passed Ordinance No. 92-1-1, authorizing the
levy of a special tax within Community Facilities District No. 92-1 (Valencia Town Center).
Adoption of Resolution No. CFD 94-1-1 will levy the special taxes for Fiscal Year 1994-95 upon all
properties within the Community Facilities District No. 92-1 which are not otherwise exempt from
taxation. The amount of the levy on each assessor's parcel is set forth in Exhibit A to the
Resolution.
State statues require that each year prior to the payment date for the bonds debt service, a
resolution be adopted, levying the special tax at an amount sufficient to meet debt service but not
to exceed the maximum special tax as set forth in the original Engineer's Report on file with the
City Clerk.
The special tax will be separately billed by City staff to be collected prior to the November 15, 1994
and May 15, 1995 payments due on the bonds issued for this District.
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council approve Resolution No. CFD 94-1-1, authorizing and providing for the levying
of special taxes within said District and directing staff to prepare and deliver special tax bills to the
property owners.
