MINUTES OF
CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 19, 1994
Mayor Pederson to order the Canvass of Election Returns portion of
the City Council meeting at 6:00 p.m.
CANVASS OF ELECTION City Clerk, Donna Grindey reported that Council adopted a
RETURNS resolution on March 8, 1994, ordering the canvass of the elections
to be made by the City Clerk. Upon completion of the canvass and
before installing the new officers the Council shall pass the
resolution reciting the fact that the General Municipal Election of
April 12, 1994, was conducted as required by law; notice of election
was given in time, form and matter as provided by law; the voting
precincts were properly established; that election officers were
properly appointed and that in all respects the election was held
and conducted and the votes were cast, received and canvassed and
the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as
required by the provision of the Election Code of the State of
California.
PUBLIC
PARTICIPATION
It was moved by Boyer and seconded by Heidt to adopt Resolution
No. 94-52 declaring the results of the election and approving the
canvass of the election.
On roll call vote:
Ayes: Boyer, Darcy, Heidt, Smyth, Pederson
Noes: None
Excused: None
Absent: None
Resolution 94-52 adopted.
Addressing the Council with matters of public concern was Marsha
McLean, 24519 Breckenridge Place, Newhall.
ADMINISTER OATH OF City Clerk, Donna Grindey, administered the oath of office to
OFFICE Councilmembers elect Hamilton C. Smyth, Jo Anne Darcy & Carl
Boyer.
ADJOURNMENT
