Deller Each fiscal year, Information Resources has a need for certain computer supplies. In order to get the best possible price, quality and service, a list of required supplies was attached with a Notice Inviting Bids for the supplies. On November 7, 1994, the Notice Inviting Bids for Bid Number GS -94-95-07 was sent to several interested vendors. It was also advertised three times in the local papers. The bids were scheduled to be opened on November 29 at 11:00 a.m. At that time, there was only one bid submitted by Alexanders located in Canyon Country. The prices submitted by Alexanders seem comparable with prices paid for similar items in the past. Staff would like to give Alexanders the opportunity to provide computer supplies for the remainder of the fiscal year at the prices quoted in their bid. Funding for these supplies was included in the approved budget. Bids received: Alexanders $17,825.00 20655 Soledad Canyon Road Canyon Country, CA 91351 RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that Council accept the bid presented by Alexanders and direct staff to issue a purchase order for Computer Supplies in the amount not to exceed $17,825.
