The proposed district is Tract No. 31549 south of Via Princessa at Rainbow Glen Drive. (See attached Resolution with map.) As development occurs throughout the City, the installation of street lights is required. The developer is required to pay the cost of installing the lights and the cost of energy and maintenance until -the area is annexed into a lighting maintenance district, The County's Lighting Maintenance District was established to provide for the cost of this maintenance. The lights, once installed, are owned by the Southern California Edison Company. Each year they charge the District for the cost of energy and maintenance. The District then assesses their costs against the property owners within the District. There is no fiscal impact to the City in granting consent.
