7:00 P.M. "STATE OF THE STATION" REPORT - This item is presented by
Lieutenant Bob Elson to give a general overview of the Santa Clarita Sheriffs
Station "State of the Station" report. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive
information.
Item 2
7:20 P.M. S.A.N.E. CAMP PRESENTATION - During the week of July 14 19, 1994
a S.A.N.E. Summer Camp was conducted. A video and slide program have
been developed and a twenty minute presentation will be provided to the City
Council. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Upon conclusion of the presentation,
the S.A.N.E. Program is requesting continued funding for a 1995 S.A.N.E.
camp.

7:40 PAL PARKS, RECREATION, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES MASTER PLAN
Over the past four months, the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services
Department has been heavily involved in the creation of a 20 -year Master Plan
which will serve as the guiding document in the development, financing,
location, expansion, and programming of the Parks, Recreation, and
Community Services Department. This evening's study session will place a
strong emphasis on interaction between the City Council an consultant,
Norman Landerman-Moore. Joining Mr. Landerman-Moore is Richard Roy of
HRP LanDesign. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive presentation and
provide direction to staff for the development of the Parks, Recreation, and
Community Services Master Plan.

Conference with legal counsel - existing litigation - Government Code
Section 54958.9(a) - one matter - Castaic Lake Water Agency vs. City of
Santa Clarita and Redevelopment Agency.
Conference with Real Property Negotiator - Potential Acquisition of
land - Government Code Section 54958.8(b) - two matters - 53 acres
parcel located west of Interstate 5 near Calgrove owned by Mountains
Conservation and Recreation Authority and 3100 acres located in the Santa
Suzanna Mountains, adjacent to the Ed Davis Park owned by Chevron
Corporation.
