RESOLUTION GRANTING CONSENT AND JURISDICTION
TO THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
IN THE MATTER OF
COUNTY LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT 1867
AND LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT DISTRICT
CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
PROJECT NUMBER 95-37
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles
is about to commence proceedings under Divisions 7 and 15 of the
Streets and Highways Code, for the annexation of territory to
County Lighting Maintenance District 1867 and the City of
Santa Clarita Landscaping and Lighting Act District; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation will have street lights
installed in the City of Santa Clarita; and
WHEREAS, all of the land included in the proposed annexation
lies within the boundary of the City of Santa Clarita,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Santa Clarita, as follows:
SECTION I
That the public interest, convenience, and necessity, require
the maintenance of a street lighting system located within said
territory as shown on the maps of the annexation of County Lighting
Maintenance District 1867 and the City of Santa Clarita Landscaping
and Lighting Act District on file in the office of the Department
of Public Works.

SECTION II
That this City Council hereby consents to the annexation of
said territory, as shown on the attached map and/or described in
the attached legal description, included within the boundaries of
said annexation, and lying within the boundary of the City of
Santa Clarita.
SECTION III
That this City Council hereby finds and determines that the
land included within the boundary of the proposed annexation lying
within the boundary of the City of Santa Clarita, will be
benefitted by the said proposed annexation, and hereby consents to
the inclusion of said land within the proposed annexation and to
the assessment thereof.
SECTION IV
That the consent of this City is hereby given to the commencement
of the proceedings for said annexation to County Lighting
Maintenance District 1667 and the City of Santa Clarita Landscaping
and Lighting Act District by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Los Angeles, and to the exercise of exclusive jurisdiction of
said Board of Supervisors over all proceedings necessary thereto
for the purpose of consummating the same, all in accordance with
the provisions of Divisions 7 and 15 of the Streets and Highways
Code.
SECTION V
That the Clerk of the City Council is hereby directed to
certify and deliver two copies of this Resolution to the Department
of Public Works of the County of Los Angeles.

SECTION VI
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution
by the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita, and shall cause
the same to be posted in three (3) conspicuous places in the City
of Santa Clarita, and it shall thereupon take effect.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
by the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita at its meeting
held June 13th 19gr

Beginning at the northerly terminus of that certain course
having a bearing and length of South 11° 00' 00" West 13.55 feet
in the northeasterly boundary of Tract No. 41367, as shown on map
filed in Book 1081, pages 17, 18 and 19, of Maps, in the office of
the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, said northerly terminus
being a point in the boundary of County Lighting Maintenance
District No. 1867, as same existed on December 6, 1993; thence
northwesterly along the boundary of said tract and following the
same in all its various courses and curves to the easterly terminus
of that certain course having a bearing and length of
North 73° 03' 01" West 43.86 feet in the southwesterly boundary of
said tract, as shown on said map, said easterly terminus being an
angle point in said boundary of County Lighting Maintenance
District No. 1867; thence northeasterly, easterly and northerly
along said boundary of County Lighting Maintenance District
No. 1867 to the point of beginning.
