HomeMy WebLinkAbout1995-01-17 - RESOLUTIONS - PROCLAIMING EMERGENCY (2)Resolution No. 95-11E A RESOLUTION OF THE DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY SERVICES (CITY MANAGER) OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA PROCLAIMING EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY IN THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 89-6 of the City of Santa Clarita empowers the Director of Emergency Services (City Manager) to proclaim the existence or threatened existence of a local emergency when said City is affected or likely to be affected by a public calamity and the City Council is not in session; and WHEREAS, the Director of Emergency Services (City Manager) of the City of Santa Clarita does hereby find: That conditions of extreme peril to arisen within said City, caused by FLOODS the safety of persons and property have (fire, flood, storm, epidemic, riot, commencing earthquake, drought, energy shortage, immediately be called into session); That the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita is not in session (and cannot immediately be called into session); NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED on the 11th day of January, 1995, that a local emergency now exists throughout said City; and IT IS FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that during the existence of said local emergency the powers, functions, and duties of the emergency organization of the this City shall be those prescribed by state law, by ordinances, and resolutions of this City, and by the City of Santa Clarita Multi -Hazard Functional Plan, as approved by the City Council on the 17th day of January, 1995.
