Brad Therrien CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: November 26, 1996 SUBJECT: FY 1995-96 OVERLAY PROJECT - PROJECT ACCEPTANCE PROJECT NO. 95-039 DEPARTMENT: Building and Engineering Services On June 25, 1996, Council awarded a contract for the subject project to Granite Construction Company. This project resurfaced portions of Barbacoa Drive, Pamplico Drive, Seco Canyon Road, Whites Canyon Road and Dalbey Drive with an asphalt -rubber hot mix (ARHM) [see attached project location maps]. The resurfacing will extend the service life of these roadways. The subject project was completed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer on November 15, 1996. The total construction cost was $468,066.78. 1. Accept the work performed by Granite Construction Company. 2. Direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion for the project. 3. Direct staff to release the ten percent retention 35 days after the Notice of Completion is recorded, provided no stop notices as provided by law have been filed. The City's address is: 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 300, Santa Clarita, CA 91355-2196. 3. The general locations of said public improvement are: Barbacoa Drive from Santa Clarita Road to Garza Drive, Pamplico Drive from Santa Clarita Road to Taryn Drive, Seco Canyon Road from Copper Hill Drive to Tupelo Ridge Drive, Dalbey Drive from Orchard Village Road to Newhall Avenue, and Whites Canyon Road from Stillmore Street to Nadal Street. 4. On June 25, 1996, a contract to construct said public improvement was awarded to: Granite Construction Company, P.O. Box 902500, Palmdale, CA 93590-2500. 5. Work under said contract was completed on November 15, 1996 to the satisfaction of the City Engineer, and was accepted by the City on November 26, 1996.
