Newman CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: February 27, 1996 SUBJECT: LAKEMORE'DEWATERING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NO. 96-084 - PROJECT ACCEPTANCE DEPARTMENT: Building and Engineering Services On June 27, 1995, Council awarded a contract for the subject project to Padilla Paving Co., Inc. This contract work was completed to the satisfaction of the Director of Building and Engineering Services on December 1, 1995 for a total construction cost of $198,431.11 This project includes the construction of 12 -inch HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) perforated pipe to lower the groundwater level. The work also includes slurry seal and overlay for the; full width along the entire project. This project is a FEMA- (Federal Emergency Management Agency) funded project as a result of the 1993 storm, which caused high groundwater damage to the area described and to the Four Oaks area. RECOMMENDATION 1, That Council accept the work performed by Padilla Paving Co., Inc. 2. That Council direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion for the project. 3. That staff be directed to release the 10% retention 35 days after the Notice of Completion is recorded, provided no stop notices, as provided by law, have been filed.
