The original contract was approved in the amount of $399,133. The original scope of work and cost estimate submitted by the consultant were significantly reduced by more than $230,000 by City staff in the preparation of the contract for Phase II. It has now been determined that some additional services recommended in the original scope of work will be necessary during Phase II to better complete that portion of the SMP contract. The addendum covers the costs of consultant services for management and coordination of all portions of the work to ensure that all elements of the SMP, automated mapping system and hydraulic modeling are compatibly designed and will successfully integrate when completed. It is essential that this coordination occur during the design and set-up of the database and mapping system. This item recommends approval of the addendum to the contract for Phase II of the SMP and automated mapping in the amount of $24,300. This is a six percent increase to the existing SMP contract. These costs were anticipated when the Stormwater Utility was established and were included in the three-year Utility start-up budget. RiXWO)AIM0112 • City Council direct the City Manager to execute an addendum to the contract in the amount of $24,300 with Woodward -Clyde Consultants, and authorize the transfer of $24,300 from the Stormwater Utility fund balance Account No. 51-2600 to Account No. 51-5602-227.
