January 23, 1996 SUBJECT: EMERGENCY STREET RESTORATION WORK (ER 2601-023) SOLEDAD CANYON ROAD FROM LANGSIDE AVENUE TO SIERRA HIGHWAY- PROJECT NO. 95-906 (PROJECT ACCEPTANCE) DEPARTMENT:: Building & Engineering Services On May 9, 1995, Council awarded a contract for the subject project to Southern Pacific Milling Company. This project was completed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer on July 12, 1995, for a total construction cost of $495,296.90. This project was completed as specified in the contract documents and under budget. 1. That Council accept the work performed by Southern Pacific Milling Company. 2. That Council direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion for the project. 3. That staff be directed to release the ten percent retention 35 days after the Notice of Completion is recorded, provided no stop notices as provided by law have been filed. The City's address is: 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 300, Santa Clarita, CA 91355- 2196. 3. The general location of said public improvement is: Soledad Canyon Road from Langside Avenue to Sierra Highway. 4. On May 9, 1995, a contract to construct said public improvement was awarded to: Southern Pacific Milling Company, 3555 Vineyard Avenue, Oxnard, California 93030. 5. Work under said contract was completed on July 12, 1995 to the satisfaction of the City Engineer, and was accepted by the City on January 16, 1996. State of California ) County of Los Angeles) ss.
