A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA
ESTABLISHING A NO -STOPPING ZONE ALONG THE WEST
SIDE OF CAMP PLENTY ROAD, 35 FEET TO 615 FEET
NORTH OF SOLEDAD CANYON ROAD
WHEREAS, the "no -stopping zone" on the west side of Camp Plenty Road, 35 feet to 615 feet
north of Soledad Canyon Road; and
WHEREAS, it is consistent with normal traffic engineering practices to establish a "no -parking
zone"; and
WHEREAS, Section 22507 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California provides for local
authorities to prohibit stopping or standing of vehicles on certain streets, highways, or portions
thereof, during all or certain hours of the day.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA,
CALIFORNIA, does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the stopping and standing of vehicles on the following streets or highways,
or portions thereof, shall not be allowed:
Camp Plenty Road, along the west side, 35 feet to 615 feet north of Soledad Canyon Road.
SECTION 2. That the no -stopping regulations, as provided herein, shall apply when
appropriate curb markings or signs giving adequate notice thereof have been placed as described
in Section 1.
SECTION 3. That staff shall provide the necessary curb markings or signs to effect this
resolution.
