SUBJECT: BOUQUET CANYON ROAD MEDIAN LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT NO. 99-052 - PROJECT ACCEPTANCE
DEPARTMENT: Parks, Recreation, and Community Services
At its meeting of September 13, 1996, the City Council awarded a contract to Advanced
Construction, Inc. for the landscaping of medians on Bouquet Canyon Road between the Santa
Clara River and Alamogordo Road.
Advanced Construction, Inc. completed this project to the satisfaction of the City on
May 5, 1997. The City Council previously appropriated expenditures up to $285,422.50 in
Account Number 10006052 for this contract, which was completed on schedule and at a cost of
$280,140.98.
The remaining funds $5,281.32 will be used to compile existing landscaping and irrigation
component standards into a document that can be used as a resource for future development.
1. The City Council accept the project and direct the City Clerk to record the attached Notice
of Completion.
2. At the expiration of 35 days from the date of recordation of the Notice of Completion,
direct staff to release the amount deducted from the final estimate and retained, except
such amounts as are required by law to be withheld by properly executed and filed notices
to stop payment.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION
1. The City of Santa Clarita, a municipal corporation, is the owner in fee, except for the right-of-way
upon which it has been constructed, of a certain public improvement known as: Bouquet Canyon
Road Median Landscape Improvements - Project No. 99-052.
2. The City's address is: 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 300, Santa Clarita, CA 91355-2196.
3. The general location of said public improvement is: Bouquet Canyon Road between the Santa
Clara River and Alamogordo Road.
4. On June 25, 1996, a contract to construct said public improvement was awarded to: Advanced
Construction, Inc..
5. Work under said contract was completed on May 2, 1997, to the satisfaction of the Director of
Parks, Recreation, and Community Services, and was accepted by the City on May 5, 1997.
