SUBJECT: CREEKVIEW PARK PROJECT ACCEPTANCE
PROJECT NO. 95-505
DEPARTMENT: Parks, Recreation, and Community Services
At its meeting of June 25, 1996, the City Council awarded a contract to American Landscape
Inc. for the construction of Creekview Park, located at 22200 Park Street in the community of
Newhall. The project is eight -acres and includes turf fields, a children's tot lot area, a
basketball court and restroom facilities. Funds for this project were made available through
Community Development Block Grant ($250,000), Public Financing Authority Funds ($191,000),
and General Fund ($100;000). The project was completed within the $541,000 authorized
budget and was completed on schedule. All commitments for construction and maintenance
have been completed to the satisfaction of the Parks, Recreation; and Community Services
Director.
The City Council accept the project and direct the City Clerk to record the attached
Notice of Completion.
2. At the expiration of 35 days from the date of recordation of the Notice of Completion,
direct staff to release the amount deducted from the final payment and retention, except
such amounts as are required by law to be withheld by properly executed and filed
notices to stop payment.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION
1. The City of Santa Clarita, a municipal corporation, is the owner, except for the right-of-way
upon which it has been constructed, of a certain public improvement known as: Creekview Park
Project 95-505.
2. The City's address is: 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 300, Santa Clarita, CA .91355-2196.
3. The general location of said public improvement is located at the cul-de-sac of Park Street in the
community of Newhall. Project address is 22200 Park Street, Santa Clarita, California, 91321.
4. On June 25, 1996, a contract to construct said public improvement was awarded to: American
Landscape, Inc., 7949 Deering Ave., Canoga Park, California, 91304.
5. Work under said contract was completed on November 27, 1996 to the satisfaction of the
Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, and was accepted by the City on
May 2, 1997.
