Home My WebLink About1998-06-23 - AGENDA REPORTS - LMD FY 98-99 (2)CITY OF SANTA CLARITA AGENDA REPORT CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: June 23, 1998 City Manager Approv Item to be presented SUBJECT: LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICTS FY 98-99 EXPENDITURE AUTHORIZATION DEPARTMENT: Parks, Recreation, and Community Services RECOMMENDED ACTION John Danielson City Council authorize fund expenditures for maintenance and inspection of the districts described in the attached Landscape Maintenance District authorization for the 1998-99 fiscal year. BACKGROUND City Council has previously reviewed and approved the awarding of maintenance and inspection contracts for the various landscape maintenance districts listed in the attachment to this agenda report. At the time of contract award, City Council also authorized fund expenditures for these contracts through June 30, 1998. At this time, all of the contracts listed in the attachment to this agenda report are in effect, and no City Council action regarding contractual issues needs to be taken. However, as a procedural matter, expenditure authorization must be granted for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998. ALTERNATIVE ACTIONS Other direction as determined by the City Council. FISCAL IMPACT Landscape Maintenance District expenses are funded through annual assessments. Funds for these expenditures have been budgeted in the Landscape District Account No. 7501-8001 through 7526-8001 pending Council adoption of the budget.
