SUBJECT: VALENCIA GLEN PARK POOL RENOVATION
PROJECT NO. M0005 - NOTICE OF COMPLETION
DEPARTMENT: Parks, Recreation, and Community Services
City Council accept the work performed by South Coast Pool Plastering, Inc., on the Valencia
Glen Park Pool Renovation project No. M0005. Direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice
of Completion. Direct staff to release the 10 percent retention 35 days after the Notice of
Completion is recorded, provided no stop notices as provided by law have been filed.
BACKGROUND
On March 24, 1998, the Valencia Glen Park Pool Renovation Project No. M0005, was completed
on time to the satisfaction of the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Service
Department. This project consists of installing new plaster, tile, coping, pool skimmers, and
upgrades to meet Americans with Disabilities Act. The total construction cost was $44,100, and
is under budget.
ALTERNATIVE ACTIONS
Other action as determined by City Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds for this expenditure in the amount of $46,000, has been budgeted in Account Number
M0005001-8001.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. The City of Santa Clarita, a municipal corporation, is the owner in fee, except for the right-
of-way upon which it has been constructed, of a certain public improvement known as:
Valencia Glen Pool Renovation Project No. M0005.
2. The City's address is: 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 300, Santa Clarita, CA 91355-
2196.
3. The location of said public improvement is: 23750 Via Gavola
4. On February 10, 1998, a contract to construct said public improvement was awarded to:
South Coast Pool Plastering, Inc.
5. Work under said contract was completed on March 24, 1998, to the satisfaction of the
Director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services, and was accepted by the City on
April 21, 1998.
