SUBJECT: GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD/GOLDEN VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
PROJECT
DEPARTMENT: City Manager's Office
City Council discuss project, and provide staff with direction.
On August 4, 1999, the City Council approved the Interim Funding Agreement between the
City of Santa Clarita and the Education Foundation. This Agreement allowed the City and
Foundation to proceed with the bidding of construction for Golden Valley Road.
At that meeting, the Council requested a special joint meeting to include discussions with
the William S. Hart School Board and the Education Foundation. The issues to be
discussed include:
• Overview of City/Foundation Project
• School Project
• Computerize Picture of School Site
• Landscape of School Site
• Properties Adjacent to School Site
• College of the Canyons — Possible Joint Venture
• Performing Arts
• Abandoned Oil Wells
• City Project
• Public Outreach Process
• Via Princessa — Rainbow Glen to Golden Valley Road
• Construction Schedule and Possible Obstacles
