HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-08-24 - AGENDA REPORTS - OFF ROAD TRACTOR LOADER (2)AGENDA REPORT City Manager Approval: Item to be presented by: CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: August 24, 1999 Barbara Boswell SUBJECT: AWARD CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF ONE OFF-ROAD TRACTOR LOADER DEPARTMENT: Administrative Services RECOMMENDED ACTION City Council award a contract for the off-road tractor loader to Orange Coast in the amount of $51,135.14 as specified in bid number PS -98-99-35, from account number 5211-8610. BACKGROUND To reduce repetitive rental and contract costs the City Council approved funds in the FY 99/00 budget for the purchase of a new off-road tractor loader with an asphalt spreader kit. A notice inviting bids was sent to Bidnet, Chamber of Commerce, Valencia Industrial Association and advertised in the local newspapers. Bid packages were delivered to 11 dealers who responded to the notice. A total of 7 responses were received, including 3 no - bids. On August 10, 1999, the sealed bids were opened and read by the City Clerk, and the results of the bids are shown below.
