SUBJECT: SIDEWALK PROJECT NO. P0014 - PROJECT ACCEPTANCE
DEPARTMENT: Field Services
RECOMMENDED ACTION
City Council accept the work performed by FALCO Construction, Inc. on Sidewalk Project
No. P0014. Direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion. Direct staff to release
the project retention thirty-five (35) days after the Notice of Completion is recorded, provided no
stop -notices, as provided by law, have been filed.
BACKGROUND
On July 13, 1999, City Council awarded Project No. P0014 to FALCO Construction, Inc. This
project consisted of replacing broken and cracked sidewalks, walkways, and building skirting at
various parks in the City of Santa Clarita.
This project was completed to the satisfaction of the Director of Field Services on
November 9, 1999. The project was completed on time and within budget.

Other action as determined by Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
The total cost for construction was $127,935. A total of $130,000 was budgeted for the Annual
Park Rehabilitation Program.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. The City of Santa Clarita, a municipal corporation, is the owner in fee, except for the right-
of-way upon which it has been constructed, of a certain public improvement known as:
Sidewalk Project No. P0014.
2. The City's address is: 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 300, Santa Clarita, CA 91355-2196.
3. The general location of said public improvement is: Various parks within the City of
Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles, State of California.
4. On July 13, 1999, a contract to construct said public improvement was awarded to:
FALCO Construction, Inc., 25031 W. Avenue Stanford, Santa Clarita, CA 91355.
5. Work under said contract was completed on November 9, 1999 to the satisfaction of the
Director of Field Services, and was accepted by the City on November 23, 1999.
