HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-06-08 - AGENDA REPORTS - VACATE PUBLIC SERV EASEMENT (2)CITY OF SANTA CLARITA AGENDA REPORT CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: June 8, 1999 City Manager Approval Item to be presented by: �- Curtis Nay SUBJECT: SUMMARY VACATION OF PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENTS (STORM DRAIN EASEMENTS) RESOLUTION NO. 99-73 DEPARTMENT: Transportation & Engineering Services RECOMMENDED ACTION City Council adopt Resolution No. 99-73, which orders the vacation of the public service easements (storm drain easements). BACKGROUND These easements were granted to the City for storm drain purposes when the storm drain (MTD 1356) was first constructed for the Valencia Town Center by the Newhall Land & Farming Company. Due to the development of this area, the existing inlets and laterals were removed from the south side of Magic Mountain Parkway where the new movie theater is now located, and from the area of the new proposed fire station off Citrus Street. This removal eliminates the need for the subject easements, which can now be vacated (quitclaimed). FISCAL IMPACT None at this time. ATERNATIVE ACTIONS Other action as determined by City Council.
