Century Room, 1st Floor 23920 Valencia Blvd. Santa Clarita, CA 91355 AGENDA *Study Sessions are for the purpose of allowing the City Council and staff to informally discuss and better understand mgjor issues currently before the City. CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL FLAG SALUTE ITEM 1 5:30 — 6:15 p.m. COLLEGE OF THE CANYONS THEATER — The College of the Canyons is embarking on the design and construction of a theater facility. Both the William S. Hart Union High School District and the City have expressed interest in exploring a partnership with the College to enhance the facility by adding educational classroom amenities and theater seating capacity to benefit both the high school and college students. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Review and provide direction concerning the City's participation with the College in the construction of a performing arts facility. ITEM 2 6:15 — 7:00 p.m. TRANSPORTATION — At the Budget Study Session of May 18, 1999 the City Council raised the issue of roads within the City. At that time Council requested staff bring back information related to the Central City Road Network. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Review information on the Central City Road Network and provide direction concerning priorities. ITEM 3 7:00 — 7:30 p.m. FOLLOW-UP TO 1999/2000 BUDGET STUDY SESSION — On May 11, 1999 the City Council received for review the proposed 1999/2000 Fiscal Year Budget and the 2000/2004 Five -Year Capital Improvement Program. During the May 18, 1999 Budget Study Session several issues were raised which require additional discussion.
