A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING APPLICATION FOR THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE
PLANNING JUVENILE ACOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANT
W.TIEREAS, the City of Santa Clarita desires to undertake a certain project designated as
6ants, Clarita Juvenile Accountability Grant Program to be funded in part from funds made
available through the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program administered
by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA does
resolve that the City Manager of the City of Santa Clarita is authorized, on its behalf to
submit the attached proposal to OCJP and is authorized to sign and approve on behalf of
the City Council the attached Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or
amendments thereof.
Section 1: The applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for said project
(including any amendment thereof) under the Program, the funding terms and
conditions of OCJP, and that cash match will be appropriated as required.
Section 2: Any liability arising out of the performance of this Grant Award Agreement,
including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the
grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP
disclaim responsibility for any such liability.
Section 3: That grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant
expenditures controlled by this body.
Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this resolution
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 23rd dayof February 1999 .
