A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
T OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA
PROVIDING FOR THE COMPENSATION
OF THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, Section 37206 of the Government Code requires the City Council to
prescribe the time and method of paying salaries, wages, and benefits for employees
of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized and directed, under provision of the
Municipal Code of the City of Santa Clarita, Section 2.080.060 (7), the City Manager
to prepare a proposed salary plan for all employees of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Salaries adopted for regular employees for Fiscal Year 1999/2000
budget year be increased 3% for cost of living by the City Council, effective with the
first pay period of 2000.
SECTION 2. The position classification plan is hereby amended to include the
following changes:
Classification
Chanee
Information Technology Assistant - Grade 35
To Grade 36
Information Technology Analyst - Grade 45
To Grade 50
Video Production Specialist - Grade 35
New Classification
Building Maintenance Worker III
Building Maintenance Specialist
Street Maintenance Worker - Grade 25
To Grade 27
SECTION 3. Salaries adopted for temporary employees for Fiscal Year 1999/2000
budget year be increased 6% by the City Council, except:
Classification Change
Crossing Guard To $8.19 per hour
Crossing Guard Supervisor To $9.25 per hour
(Section 3 to be effective with the first pay period of 2000.)
SECTION 4. The temporary position classification schedule is hereby amended to
include the following title changes:

Recreation Program Coordinator Recreation Leader III
Senior Recreation Leader Recreation Leader II
Recreation Leader Recreation Leader I

SECTION 5. The employee benefit program is hereby amended to include the
following changes:
Benefits
Dental Plan
Medical Plan
Change
Up to $ 32/mo. City contribution
Up to $420/mo. City contribution
SECTION 6. All prior resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict with this
resolution are hereby rescinded.
