A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA
IMPLEMENTING A DECREASE OF THE ANNUAL
REGISTRATION FEES FOR THE MANUFACTURED HOME PARKS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita has adopted an ordinance
establishing the Manufactured Home Rent Stabilization Program on November 27, 1990; and
WHEREAS, the Council established an annual registration fee on November 27, 1990
specified in Section 6.02.050 and 6.02.060 of the City of Santa Clarita Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the current registration fee is set at $14.00 and is equally split between the
manufactured park owners and the manufactured homeowners; and
WHEREAS, the annual registration fee is intended to cover all costs associated with
manufactured home park rent control procedures; and
WHEREAS, the costs associated with manufactured home park procedures have been
reduced;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA DOES
RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Fee Schedule Decrease. The following annual registration fee in the amount
of $3.50 per rental space is hereby directed to be computed by and applied by the City Clerk's
Office, and to be collected by the City Finance Department for the administration of the Santa
Clarita Municipal Code, Title 6, Section 6.02.060. The fee is to be split equally between the
manufactured home owners and park owners.
Section 2. Effective Date. This resolution shall go into full force and effect
immediately.
Section 3. Certification. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of the resolution.
