A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA
DESIGNATING THOSE OFFICIALS AUTHORIZED TO FILE
APPLICATION TO THE STATE OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES
TO OBTAIN CERTAIN FEDERAL AND STATE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS, certain federal financial assistance under P.L. 93-288, as amended by Robert
T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, or state financial
assistance under the Natural Disaster Assistance Act, is available to the public entity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita
that:
City Manager
Assistant City Manager
Emergency Preparedness Manager
is hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Santa Clarita, a public
entity established under the laws of the State of California, this application and to file it in
the Office rf Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining certain federal financial
assistance under P.L. 93-288, as amended by Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and
Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial assistance under the National
Disaster Assistance Act.
THAT the City of Santa Clarita, a public entity established under the laws of the State of
California, hereby authorizes its agent to provide to the State Office of Emergency Services
for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance the assurances and agreements
required.
