A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING
THE WILLIAM S. HART HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT'S
NOVEMBER 1999 SCHOOL BOND MEASURE
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Clarita understands that the student
population in the William S. Hart High School District is growing rapidly resulting
in classroom overcrowding; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Clarita recognizes the need for additional
classroom space in the William S. Hart High School District; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Clarita understands the need to upgrade aging
facilities in the William S. Hart High School District; and
WHEREAS, the William S. Hart High School District will benefit greatly
from having additional funds to construct new schools and additional classrooms in
the school district; and
WHEREAS, supporting the construction of new facilities in the school district
.— will enhance the educational experience for students and provide for the best
possible environment for students to learn and grow in the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Clarita recognizes the need to work
collaboratively with the local school district by supporting its efforts to create a safe,
rewarding, and positive place to learn.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
CLARITA does hereby resolve support for the William S. Hart School District's Bond
measure in the November 1999 election by assisting in its efforts through an official
Council endorsement of support.
