Los Angeles County Sanitation District Nos. 26 and 32 provide wastewater treatment services cooperatively through the Santa Clarita Valley Joint Sewerage System. To provide wastewater treatment service to property located outside of the District's service area, the service area boundary must be expanded through the annexation process. As part of this process, a tax - sharing resolution to provide the required funding to the Sanitation Districts is adopted by the public agencies responsible for providing services to the subject property. Additionally this report serves to transfer property tax revenues from Street Lighting Maintenance District No. 2. Local agencies receiving an apportionment of property tax from the annexing area must determine the amount of tax revenues to be exchanged between the affected agencies. For annexation No. 254, a total of 1.1058 percent of the annual tax increment attributable to the land area involved in the annexation will be transferred to Sanitation District No. 32. Of this total, the City is contributing 0.1139 percent of its revenues from the annual tax increment for the annexation area and the Santa Clarita Street Lighting Maintenance District No. 2 is contributing 0.0346.
