HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-09-26 - RESOLUTIONS - ROBINSON RANCH FEIR (2)RESOLUTION NO. 00-118 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA APPROVING THE ADDENDUM TO THE HUNTERS GREEN (PROJECT NOW KNOWN AS ROBINSON RANCH) FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR ROBINSON RANCH TRAIL IN ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST LOCATED EAST OF CITY OF SANTA CLARITA CITY LIMITS, SOUTH OF OAK SPRINGS CANYON ROAD WHEREAS, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. FINDINGS OF FACT The City Council does hereby find, determine, and declare: a. In 1999 a request was filed by Robinson Development Services, Inc. (the "applicant") with the Angeles National Forest which included a request to construct .43 miles of a north -south multi -use trail corridor that would border Robinson Ranch's eastern edge. b. The site is located in the Angeles National Forest south of Oak Springs Canyon Road. C. On September 1, 1996, the Hunters Green Residential and Development Golf Course Final EIR was completed and subsequently certified for the subject site by the City of Santa Clarita. d. Upon completion, the trail will be included in the City of Santa Clarita' regional trail network. e. This project was reviewed pursuant to the provisions of the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA). On July 31, 2000 the District Ranger of the Angeles national Forest issued a Decision Notice and a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) related to the new trail design and alignment. h. The City Council held a duly noticed public meeting on this issue commencing on September 26, 2000. This meeting was held at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Santa Clarita. SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves the addendum to the Hunters Green (project now known as Robinson Ranch) Final Environmental Impact Report WEIR) for the Robinson Ranch Trail in Angles National Forest. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution to the Departments of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services, Administrative Services, and Transportation and engineering Services and shall give notice of this recommendation in the manner prescribed by the Municipal Code. • � ��'01711-- . -: --,�O4.- 111 ATTEST: STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES ) CITY OF SANTA CLARITA ) I, Sharon L.
