HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-10-10 - RESOLUTIONS - WILDWOOD CYN VACATE (2)RESOLUTION NO. 00-127 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITYOFSANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA VACATING A PORTION OF ROAD AND SLOPE EASEMENT ON WILDWOOD CANYON ROAD IN THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA WHEREAS, portions of Wildwood Canyon Road are not required for public use; and WHEREAS, under Chapter 4, Summary Vacation, of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, no public hearing is required and no public hearing was held. THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of Section 8334 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita, California, does resolve, declare, determine, and order as follows: SECTION 1. That it is hereby found and determined that those portions of the road and slope easement on Wildwood Canyon Road, as shown on Exhibit "A" and described on Exhibit "B" and attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, which real property located in the City of Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles, State of California, are no longer needed for present or prospective use based on the fact that this right-of-way is considered to be excess right-of-way and is not required for street or highway purposes, and the easement has not been used for its dedicated purposes for the five consecutive years immediately preceding this vacation. SECTION 2. That within the right-of-way of Wildwood Canyon Road to be vacated, no public utility facilities exist that would be affected by the vacation. SECTION 3. That the property owner has granted Irrevocable Offers of Dedication to the City for public use over the remaining private easement as shown on the Location Map, Exhibit "A." The first dedication is for trail purposes with the second dedication for road and associated public uses. SECTION 4. That City staff of the City of Santa Clarita be instructed to record a certified copy of the resolution in the office of the Registrar -Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, at which time the portions of street vacated will no longer be a public street. 7 RESOLUTION NO. 00-127 October 10, 2000 — Page 2 PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this le day of October. 2000.
