SUBJECT: 2000-01 ANNUAL OVERLAY PROGRAM, PROJECT NO. M0012 —
PROJECT ACCEPTANCE
DEPARTMENT: Transportation & Engineering Services
RECOMMENDED ACTION
City Council accept the work performed by Granite Construction Company on the 2000-01
Annual Overlay Program; direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion;
and direct staff to release the remaining ten percent retention 35 days after the Notice of
Completion is recorded, provided no stop notices, as provided by law, have been filed.
BACKGROUND
On October 10, 2000, the City Council awarded a contract for the 2000-01 Annual Overlay
Program to Granite Construction Company. The project resurfaced various streets within
the Canyon Country area to provide a smoother ride for traffic, enhance the appearance of
the area, and extend the economic life of the roadway. The project was completed within
budget and to the satisfaction of the City Engineer on October 26, 2001.

Other action as determined by the City Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
The project was completed with a contingency savings of $101,661.74.
Contingency—Budgeted $148,766.00
