SUBJECT: PROJECT ACCEPTANCE — 2000-2001 CITYWIDE CURB AND GUTTER
STORMWATER FLOWLINE REALIGNMENT AND RESTORATION
PROGRAM, PROJECT NO. M0016
DEPARTMENT: Transportation & Engineering Services
City Council accept the work performed by Kalban, Inc. on the 2000-2001 Citywide Curb and
Gutter Stormwater Flowline Realignment and Restoration Program, Project No. M0016; direct
the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion; and direct staff to release the
10 percent retention 35 days after the Notice of Completion is recorded, provided no stop
notices, as provided by law, have been filed.
On October 24, 2000, the City Council awarded a contract for the 2000-2001 Citywide Curb and
Gutter Stormwater Flowline Realignment and Restoration Program at various locations within
the City to Kalban, Inc. This project involved the installation and repair of a number of
locations throughout the community.
This project was completed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer on April 6, 2001. The project
was completed within the allocated time and budget.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION .
Other action as determined by the City Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
The total cost for the project is $190,973.00. Sufficient funds from the Stormwater Fund and
the General Fund were allocated in the budget for Fiscal Year 2000-2001.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. The City of Santa Clarita, a municipal corporation, is the owner in fee, except for the
right-of-way upon which it has been constructed, of a certain public improvement known
as 2000-2001 Citywide Curb and Gutter Flowline Realignment and Restoration Program,
Project No. M0016.
2. The City's address is 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 300, Santa Clarita,
California 91355-2196.
3. The general location of said public improvement is at various locations in the City
jurisdiction.
4. On October 24, 2000 a contract to construct said public improvement was awarded to
Kalban, Inc., 10950 Tuxford Street, Sun Valley, California 91352.
5. Work under said contract was completed on April 6, 2001, to the satisfaction of the City
Engineer, and was accepted by the City on April 24, 2001.
