A Valencia areawide landscape maintenance district currently exists along Lyons Avenue, between Interstate 5 and Orchard Village Road and would be expanded to San Fernando Road pending approval by the adjacent property owners. At the January 23, 2001 City Council meeting, Resolution Number 01-11 initiated this annexation and set the public hearing for March 13, 2001. However, additional time was desired to provide an opportunity to present and receive feedback from the Newhall Redevelopment Committee on potential design concepts. This meeting was held on February 5, 2001. In order to comply with the required minimum timeframe for the assessment ballot process, it is necessary to reset the public hearing.
