SUBJECT: TAX SHARING RESOLUTIONS FOR SANITATION DISTRICT
ANNEXATION NO. 263, ANNEXATION NO. 321, ANNEXATION NO.
322, AND ANNEXATION NO. 323

RECOMMENDED ACTION
Adopt resolutions approving and accepting the negotiated exchange of property tax
revenues resulting from Sanitation District Annexation No. 263, Annexation No. 321,
Annexation No. 322, and Annexation No. 323.
BACKGROUND
Los Angeles County Sanitation District Nos. 26 and 32 provide wastewater treatment
services cooperatively through the Santa Clarita Valley Joint Sewerage System. To provide
wastewater treatment service to property located outside of the District's service area, the
service area boundary must be expanded through the annexation process. As part of this
process, a tax -sharing resolution to provide the required funding to the Sanitation Districts
is adopted by the public agencies responsible for providing services to the subject property.
Annexation No. 263
Local agencies receiving an apportionment of property tax from the annexing area must
determine the amount of tax revenues to be exchanged between the affected agencies. For
Annexation No. 263, a total of 1.1058 percent of the annual tax increment attributable to
the land area involved in the annexation will be transferred to Sanitation District No. 32.
Of this total, the City is contributing 0.1139 percent of its revenues from the annual tax
increment for the annexation area.
This annexation is for the newly created assessment area on 16`" Street, east of Walnut
Street.

annexation No. 321, a total of 1.1836 percent of the annual tax increment attributable to
the land area involved in the annexation will be transferred to Sanitation District No. 26.
Of this total, the City is contributing 0.1263 percent of its revenues from the annual tax
increment for the annexation area.
This annexation is for the newly created assessment area on Sierra Highway, north of
Scherzinger Lane in the City of Santa Clarita.
Annexation No. 322
Local agencies receiving an apportionment of property tax from the annexing area must
determine the amount of tax revenues to be exchanged between the affected agencies. For
annexation No. 322, a total of 1.1836 percent of the annual tax increment attributable to
the land area involved in the annexation will be transferred to Sanitation District No. 26.
Of this total, the City is contributing 0.1263 percent of its revenues from the annual tax
increment for the annexation area.
This annexation is for the newly created assessment area on Soledad Canyon Road, west of
Langside in the City of Santa Clarita.
Annexation No. 323
Local agencies receiving an apportionment of property tax from the annexing area must
determine the amount of tax revenues to be exchanged between the affected agencies. For
annexation No. 323, a total of 1.1836 percent of the annual tax increment attributable to
the land area involved in the annexation will be transferred to Sanitation District No. 26.
Of this total, the City is contributing 0.1263 percent of its revenues from the annual tax
increment for the annexation area.
This annexation is for the newly created assessment area on Ruether Avenue, north of
Soledad Canyon Road in the City of Santa Clarita.
ALTERNATIVE ACTIONS
Other actions as determined by Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
As proposed, the annexations to Sanitation Districts No. 26 and 32 should result in no
adverse fiscal impact to the City.
