SUBJECT: MASTER CASE NO. 99-377 — VALLEY STREET/CALGROVE
BOULEVARD GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT CONTRACT

RECOMMENDED ACTION
City Council confirm its earlier action to direct the Planning Commission to complete their
recommendation prior to January 26, 2001.
BACKGROUND
At a December 22, 2000 special meeting, the City Council discussed the status of this project
and directed the Planning Commission to approve a resolution of recommendation prior to
January 26, 2001. A Special Planning Commission hearing has been scheduled for Thursday,
January 25, 2001 to accomplish this.
On December 19, 2000 the Planning Commission directed staff to return with additional
information and with a resolution recommending that the Council approve Alternative 4 in the
project's Environmental Impact Report. Alternative 4 consists of a public - two lane road
through the project area connecting Valley Street to Calgrove Boulevard.
