ITEM 1
5:30 - 6:00 p.m. HOMELESS /WINTER SHELTER -Since 1997, Santa Clarita has been
providing a winter shelter for the community's homeless population. It
is desired that the community find a stable, efficient, effective, and long-
term solution to providing a winter shelter.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive report and provide direction to
staff and the Santa Clarita Community Development Corporation
(SCCDC).
ITEM 2
6:00 - 6:45 p.m. SANTA CLARITA VALLEY WATER RESOURCES - On an annual
basis, the Council reviews the demand for water in the Santa Clarita
Valley and the reliability of water supplies to meet projected demand.
The Santa Clarita Valley Water Report 2000 and the December 2000
Urban Water Management Plan, which were prepared by CLWA and the
local water companies, are submitted for informational purposes.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive the presentation on the highlights
of the 2000 Santa Clarita Valley Water Report and December 2000 Urban
Water Management Plan. Discuss Santa Clarita Valley water issues and
partnership opportunities to enhance conservation and water use
efficiency with Castaic Lake Water Agency.
