SUBJECT: BOUQUET CANYON MEDIAN LANDSCAPE - PROJECT NO. B4003 -
PROJECT ACCEPTANCE
DEPARTMENT: Parks, Recreation, and Community Services
RECOMMENDED ACTION
I. City Council accept the work performed by American Landscape, Inc. on the Bouquet
Canyon Medians Landscape Project, Project Number: B4003.
2. Direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion.
3. Direct staff to release the 10% retention 35 days after the Notice of Completion is recorded,
provided no stop notices, as provided by law, have been filed.
BACKGROUND
On May 22, 2001, City Council awarded Project B4003 to American Landscape, Inc. This
project consists of the following: asphalt removal, installation of stamped concrete, irrigation,
landscaping, and a 90 -day maintenance period. The project was completed to the satisfaction
of the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services, on December 10, 2001.
ALTERNATIVE ACTIONS
Other action as determined by Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
Council authorized a construction budget of $277,000 for this project. The total construction
cost of the project was $276,096.34, which was funded as follows:
Account No. B4003001-8001 $ 277,000

NOTICE OF COMPLETION
1. The City of Santa Clarita, a municipal corporation, is the owner in fee of a certain public
improvement known as: Bouquet Canyon Median Landscape - Project No B4003.
2. The City's address is: 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 300, Santa Clarita, CA 91355-2196.
3. The general location of said public improvement is: Bouquet Canyon Road between Alamogordo
Rd. and Centurion Way, in the City of Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles, State of California.
4. On May 22, 2001, a contract to construct said public improvement was awarded to:
American Landscape, Inc., 7949 Deering Avenue, Canoga Park, CA, 91304.
5. Work under said contract was completed on December 10, 2001 to the satisfaction of the
Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, and was accepted by the City on
December 11, 2001.
