PROJECT INSPECTION SERVICES FOR CENTRAL PARK PROJECT
Parks, Recreation, and Community Services
City Council authorize increasing the contract amount with DMR Team for inspection services to
$160,000. Funds have been budgeted in Fiscal Year 2001/2002 in account numbers: 7350-8110 and
P4003001.
BACKGROUND
During the 2001/2002 -budget process, City Council approved additional funding for the design and
construction of the expansion of Central Park Phase II. As a result of the expanded scope of the
project, additional inspection services are required.
Contract inspectors are responsible for daily inspection to ensure compliance with plans and
specifications for these projects. DMR Team is currently providing this service to the City under a
$60,000 contract authorized by the City Council in April 2001. To -date, approximately $56,000 has
been paid to DMR. The additional funding will allow for uninterrupted quality control and daily
inspection for the expansion of Central Park, which is expected to be substantially complete by
September 2002.

FISCAL IMPACT
This action will increase the existing $60,000 contract by $100,000 for a total of $160,000.
Funds are available in Fiscal Year 2001/2002 Budget in Account Numbers: 7350-8110 and P4003001.
