HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-05-28 - AGENDA REPORTS - GVR EASEMENT DEED BLUE CROSS (2)CITY OF SANTA CLARITA AGENDA REPORT CONSENT CALENDAR City Manager Approva : Item to be presented by: Robert Newman DATE: May 28, 2002 SUBJECT: EASEMENT DEED TO BLUE CROSS LABORATORIES INC., AND THEIR SUCCESSORS, CONVEYING AN INTEREST FOR INGRESS/EGRESS OVER AND ON THE ADJACENT PARCEL, NEAR GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD AND REDVIEW DRIVE DEPARTMENT: Transportation & Engineering Services RECOMMENDED ACTION City Council approve an easement deed conveying an interest for ingress/egress to Blue Cross Laboratories Inc., and their successors, on a property adjacent to Golden Valley Road; near Redview Drive; and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all documents, subject to City Attorney approval. BACKGROUND As part of the recent opening of Golden Valley Road between Sierra Highway and Redview Drive, the City acquired the necessary right-of-way needed through the condemnation process. Blue Cross Laboratories Inc. was one of the property owners the City acquired right-of- way from under the terms of the settlement with Blue Cross Laboratories Inc. The Easement Deed, as proposed; conveys an interest in the City's easement, allowing ingress/egress only. It does not transfer ownership or obligation of the Cooperative Agreement. The City would grant Blue Cross Laboratories Inc. an easement over property acquired from the Los Angeles City Department of Water and Power through a Cooperative Agreement (Document No. 00-0068142). ALTERNATIVE ACTION Other action as determined by the City Council. FISCAL IMPACT None.
