SUBJECT: CENTRAL PARK MAINTENANCE OFFICE BUILDING TENANT
IMPROVEMENTS - PROJECT F4001 - PROJECT ACCEPTANCE
DEPARTMENT: Parks, Recreation, and Community Services
RECOMMENDED ACTION
1. City Council accept the work performed by Springer Construction, Inc. on the Central Park
Maintenance Office Building Tenant Improvements, Project Number: F4001.
2. Direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion.
3. Direct staff to release the 5% retention 35 days after the Notice of Completion is recorded,
provided no stop notices, as provided by law, have been filed.
BACKGROUND
On August 28, 2001, City Council awarded Project F4001 to Springer Construction, Inc. This
project consists of constructing tenant improvements in the Central Park Maintenance Office
Building. The project was completed to the satisfaction of the Director of Parks, Recreation,
and Community Services on November 15, 2001.
ALTERNATIVE ACTIONS
Other action as determined by City Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
Council authorized a construction budget of $198,000 for this project. The total construction
cost of the project was $197,500,which was funded as follows:
Account Numbers: F4001-8001 $180,000 General Fund
7310-8001 18,000 General Fund

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:

1. The City of Santa Clarita, a municipal corporation, is the owner in fee of a certain public
improvement known as: Central Park Maintenance Office Tenant Improvements - Project No
F4001.
2. The City's address is: 23920 Valencia Boulevard, Suite 300, Santa Clarita, CA 91355-2196.
3. The general location of said public improvement is: Park Maintenance Facility at Central Park,
27150 Bouquet Canyon Road, in the City of Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles, State of
California.
4. On August 28, 2001, a contract to construct Maintenance Building Tenant Improvements was
awarded to:
Springer Construction, Inc., 6865 W. Ave "A", Rosamond, CA, 93560.
5. Work under said contract was completed on November 16, 2001 to the satisfaction of the
Director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services, and was accepted by the City on
November 27, 2001.
