A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE
ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002-2003 AND
MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE AMOUNT BUDGETED
WHEREAS, a proposed annual budget for the City of Santa Clarita for the fiscal year
commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, was submitted to the City Council and is
on file in the City Clerk's Office, and
WHEREAS, proceedings for adoption of said budget have been duly taken, and
WHEREAS, certain revisions, corrections, and modifications have been made to said
proposed budget, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has caused the proposed document to be corrected to
reflect all changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita does resolve as
follows:
Section 1. The budget, incorporated herein by reference, is adopted by Resolution as the
Annual Budget for the City of Santa Clarita for Fiscal Year commencing July 1, 2002, and
ending June 30, 2003.
Section 2. The City Manager may approve any unused appropriations at the end of
fiscal year 2001-02 for capital projects, special projects and grant programs which shall become
part of the City of Santa Clarita's budget for fiscal year 2002-03.
Section 3. There is hereby appropriated to each account set forth in said budget,
incorporated herein by reference, the sum shown for such account in the 2002-2003 budget, and
the City Manager is authorized and empowered to expend such sum for the purpose of such
account but no expenditure by any office or department for any items within an account will
exceed the amount budgeted therefore without prior approval of the City Manager.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of June, 2002.
