SUBJECT: CNG FUEL STATION INSTALLATION AT CORPORATE YARD
LOCATION - PROJECT ACCEPTANCE

RECOMMENDED ACTION
1. City Council accept the work performed by Allsup Corporation on the CNG fuel station installation
at the Corporate Yard location.
2. Direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion.
Direct staff to release the project retention 35 days after the Notice of Completion is recorded, provided
no stop notices, as provided by law, have been filed.
BACKGROUND
The City of Santa Clarita has been an active proponent of alternative fueled vehicles. The lack of a
fast -fill CNG fuel station in the Santa Clarita Valley adversely impacted the expansion of the City's
CNG vehicle fleet. On January 8, 2002, the City Council awarded a contract to Allsup Corporation to
install a skid -mounted CNG fuel station at the Corporate Yard facility. This fuel station was sized to
accommodate the existing fleet and provide for some growth.
The project was completed on April 25, 2003 to the satisfaction of the project manager. The project
was completed within budget.

Other action as determined by the City Council.
FISCAL ]IMPACT
The construction budget for this project was $345,192.00. The total construction cost of the project
was $328,754, which was funded as follows:
