HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-05-27 - AGENDA REPORTS - LACO GEN SERVICES AGMT (2)CITY OF SANTA CLARITA AGENDA REPORT CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: May 27, 2003 City Manager Approval: Item to be presented by: Agenda Item: 1_ i Barbara Boswell SUBJECT: RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE RENEWAL OF THE GENERAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES FOR MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES DEPARTMENT: Administrative Services RECOMMENDED ACTION City Council adopt the Resolution to renew the General Services Agreement between the City of Santa Clarita and the County of Los Angeles for miscellaneous services for an additional five-year term. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to sign all documents. BACKGROUND Upon incorporation, the City of Santa Clarita entered into a General Services Agreement with the County of Los Angeles to provide several miscellaneous services. These services include animal control, prosecution of the City's ordinances, direct assessment collection, business license services, and a variety of public works activities. This agreement is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2003 and is renewable for an additional five years. The City intends to continue to contract these services with the County, and as such should renew the existing contract through June 30, 2008.
