BACKGROUND During the past six months, City staff and representatives of the Santa Clarita Community College District (District) have met on several occasions to discuss the development of an Agreement that would create a Use Tax Equivalent Revenue Sharing Program that will allow the City and District to partner in a manner that will help to construct a future University Center on the College of the Canyon's campus. Under the terms of this Agreement, the City will contribute funding in an amount that is equivalent to 50% of all net new Use Tax Revenue generated as a result of the joint City -District Use Tax Sharing Program.
