HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-12-09 - RESOLUTIONS - POSITION CLASSIFICATION PLAN (2)RESOLUTION NO. 03-154 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE POSITION CLASSIFICATION PLAN WHEREAS, Section 37206 of the Government Code requires the City Council to prescribe the time and method of paying salaries, wages, and benefits for employees of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized and directed, under provisions of the Municipal Code of the City of Santa Clarita, Section 2.080.060, the City Manager to prepare a proposed salary plan for all employees of the City and it has authorized and directed under the provision of Ordinance 88-52, Section 3.d., the City Manager to prepare and revise a position classification plan. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. Salaries adopted for regular employees for fiscal year 2004/2005 budget --- be increased by 3.3% for unrepresented employees and 2.5% for employees represented by the SEN Local 347 by the City Council, effective with the first pay period of 2004. SECTION 2. The position classification plan is hereby amended to include the following changes effective January 2004: Classification City Engineer Grade 65 Supervising Engineer (CIP) Grade 55 Supervising Engineer (Development Services) Grade 55 City Traffic Engineer Grade 55 Senior Engineer Grade 52 Construction and Engineering Services Manager Grade 55 Change City Engineer Grade 68 Assistant City Engineer Grade 62 Assistant City Engineer Grade 62 City Traffic Engineer Grade 62 Senior Engineer Grade 56 Senior Engineer Grade 56 Resolution No. 03-154 Page 2 Program Specialist (Transit) Grade 23 Buyer Grade 32 Secretary (City Manager's Office) Grade 26 Recreation & Community Services Supervisor Grade 34 New Classification Vehicle Maintenance Technician Grade 24 Project Technician Grade 32 Purchasing Technician Grade 26 Administrative Analyst Grade 39 Recreation & Community Services Administrator Activity Center Grade 45 SECTION 3. The employee benefit program is hereby amended to include the following changes, effective January 2004: Increased Cafeteria Plan Benefit Unrepresented Employees $850.00 per month SEN Local 347 Represented Employees $847.80 per month SECTION 4. All prior resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict with this resolution are hereby rescinded. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9a' day of December, 2003.
