RESOLUTION NO. 03-75 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA VACATING AVENUE STANFORD, NORTHWESTERLY OF VANDERBILT WAY AND A PORTION OF WESTINGHOUSE PLACE IN PARCEL MAP NO. 19164 IN THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA WHEREAS, Avenue Stanford, northwesterly of Vanderbilt Way, and a portion of Westinghouse Place are not required for public use, and the developer requests that the easement be vacated; and WHEREAS, the proposed vacation was reviewed and a notice of exemption for the vacation of the easement in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act is required; and WHEREAS, under Chapter 4, Summary Vacation, of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, no public hearing is required and no public hearing was held. _— THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of Section 8334 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita, California, does resolve, declare, determine, and order as follows: SECTION 1. That it is hereby found and determined that Avenue Stanford within the boundaries of Parcel Map No. 19164 and a portion of Westinghouse Place, as described on Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit `B" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, which real property located in the City of Santa Clarita, County of Los Angeles, State of California, are no longer needed for present or prospective use based on the following facts: That this right-of-way is considered to be excess right-of-way and is not required for street or highway purposes; and that this right-of-way lies within property under one ownership and does not continue through such ownership or end touching another property. SECTION 2. That within the right-of-way of Avenue Stanford and Westinghouse Place to be vacated, no public utility facilities exist that would be affected by the vacation. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Santa Clarita is instructed to record the certified original resolution in the office of the Registrar -Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, at which time the streets vacated will no longer be a public streets. SECTION 4. That City staff file the Notice of Exemption with the County of Los Angeles. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 10th day of June, 2003.
