BACKGROUND
For approximately 13 years, the City of Santa Clarita has provided funds for community
organizations through the Community Services Grant Program. Each year, a Community
Services Grant Committee is assembled to determine funding categories, review and rate
applications, and make final funding recommendations. In the past, funding has been used to
provide programs in the Arts, Violence Prevention, Drug and Alcohol Prevention, and
Educational programs addressing the Environment, Traffic, and Tolerance.
This year's funding categories are:
• Arts
• Wellness
Twenty-eight grant applications were received, with requests totaling $135,629.04. The
breakdown per category is as follows:
• Arts: Twelve applications, totaling $56,584.04
• Wellness: Sixteen applications, totaling $79,045.00
