HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-04-27 - AGENDA REPORTS - STORMDRN TRANSFERS (2)CONSENT CALENDAR DATE: SUBJECT: DEPARTMENT: Agenda Item: —;P CITY OF SANTA CLARITA AGENDA REPORT City Manager Approval: Item to be presented by: April 27, 2004 i Chistopher Price STORM DRAIN TRANSFERS TO THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT Transportation and Engineering Services RECOMMENDED ACTION City Council adopt two resolutions for the transfer and conveyance of Private Drain Nos. 1490 and 2225 to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District. BACKGROUND Private Drain (PD) 1490 (located in the vicinity of Wellston Drive and Bouquet Canyon Park) and PD No. 2225 (located west of Bouquet Canyon Road in the vicinity of Newhall Ranch Road) are eligible for transfer to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District. County procedures require that each storm drain transfer request be accompanied by a separate resolution. The adoption of these resolutions is requested at this time. ALTERNATIVE ACTIONS Other action as determined by the City Council. FISCAL IMPACT The City incurs a long-term fiscal benefit by transferring the maintenance responsibilities for these storm drains to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District.
